Gym Tan Laundry. Sort of.

Thanks for not making me feel so grandma-ish.  Or at least letting me know I’m not alone.  ;)

Look what my mom sent to me at work:he he he- just when I thought I was done with cookies for the week!

They got a little stuck together during the transport, but I assure you that had no effect on the taste.  :)  I think a few others in my office would agree with that one.

Because this week wasn’t a standard week (mostly the day off threw me), my current food situation is interesting.  It leads to dumping a whole bunch of things in one bowl and seeing what happens:It worked out this time.  But I’ve had some nasty combos in the past…  I won’t go in detail, but I’d mention the eggplant incident without hesitation right about now.

What’s the worst combo you’ve had as of late?

I spent the rest of the night doing a little GTL (thank you Jersey Shore- I’ll forever be screwed with all the ridic catchphrases I’ve incorporated into my daily vocabulary).

Anyways, I’ve gotta be prepped for Halloween, right?  Except my GTL was a little different.  Gym was a light walk on the treadmill to meet up with Mon and gossip about the last few days.  Tan came out of a bottle.  And I’m not even sure if it worked (Natural Glo knock off- maybe I should have known better?).  And laundry included not only doing my regular laundry, but working a little on my costume.  We’ll just say the “woman’s fit” t-shirt was a load of crap.  I don’t sew often (which was obvious when the only color of thread I own is green), but I did a little tucking where it was necessary.  Hopefully the green thread isn’t THAT obvious on the sides of my white tee (I’m only saying that to fool myself). I’m so excited for tonight- can’t wait until it’s T-SHIRT TIME!

And yes, I will sing it like Pauly D when the moment arrives.

What’s the plan for the weekend, kids?  Costume party?  Bar hopping?  Handing out candy?  Our big girl’s night is tonight. Holla’…Have a great holiday weekend!

  1. He he … love that card.

And I think I’m proud to say I had no idea what GTL was. I wish I didn’t know what Snooki was, either. Then again … I’m not so sure I do know.

  2. I LOVE HALLOWEEN! Run Like Hell 5k tonight and house parties tomorrow. Weeee!

  3. That card is hilarious! We are going to a costume party on Saturday and I still have not figured out what I am going as. I am pretty sure I will be a waste of flesh on Sunday due to Saturday. Six Flags fright night with the boys tonight. and maybe some mall trick or treating for the boys Sunday if we can all stand (only because the neighborhood is apparently against Sunday trick or treating and changed it to Saturday). I am already exhausted thinking about all of this!

  4. bahahah. just when you think you’re safe from cookies. you’re lucky i don’t have your address or else i’d send you some more ;)

    EEEEEEEEE for the weekend :)

  5. That card is awesome!!

I love throwing a bunch of stuff in a bowl and hoping for the best. I’ve had some massive failures though. One involved shrimp and the most disgusting sauce I’ve ever tasted. I had to throw it out.

  6. teeeeeeeeeeeeee shirt timeeeeeeeeee haha. That card is awesome, love it. Can’t wait to see your pics from the weekend!

  7. I love that card !! *tee hee*

I may have already told you this? easy costumes this year –> Jason is wearing a camo jacket and black pants, I am wearing camo pants and a black top… we are UPPER AND LOWER G.I.s !

    HAPPY WEEKEND !!

  9. It’s TEEE-SHIRT TIIIME. OHHHHH YEEAAAH! Haha..loves it!

And frosted sugar cookies are the bomb. Yes they are.

  10. No plans yet for the weekend! Lots of parties tomorrow night but I’m debating… the MCM marthon is on Sunday and I basically can’t leave my house except by foot… so by foot it will be!

  11. My mom sent me those cookie cutters! I’m not a sugar cookie fan, but I kind of feel obligated to make them, just so I can use the cookie cutters.

I had no idea what GTL was….even after reading the title and your post. I’m a quick one.

  12. Sorry that ecard has totally got me distracted. I cannot stop laughing!

  13. How sweet/cute is your mom?! Are those homemade, too?! Dang….what I wouldn’t give for one of those right now. :-)

Can’t wait to see the recap of your night out! We’re dressing up and heading out tomorrow. Let the debauchery ensue.

  14. Nothing beats homemade cookies from Mom. Nothing!

Love those cards, btw, thanks for the laugh! Have a great weekend!

  15. Those cookies look SO GOOD!

    Happy Halloween :D

  16. GTL – I have never heard of that before! Obviously I’ve never seen Jersey Shore. I’m glad I have you to keep my vocabulary up to date. :)

I love that your mom sends you cookies…why doesn’t my mom do that?? Probably for the same reason I won’t send Maya cookes – laziness. Total laziness!

  17. Love those pumpkin cookies – too cute!

  18. Hahaha, I love T-shirt time! I bet your costume looks great. Have fun!

  19. I make most of my meals by dumping a bunch of things into a pan and seeing what comes out… My last disaster involved wayyyy too much soy sauce. Don’t feel bad :).

  21. Love dumping stuff together and hoping for the best! I’d say it works about 90% of the time:)

Hope you have a great time this weekend! We’re hitting up a halloween party Saturday night. There will be pumpkin carving, but ironically I’m not sure whether we’re dressing up or not. Nothing like waiting till the last minute to find out!!

  22. Oh, Charlie Sheen! Have a great weekend :)

  23. That E-card is funny. Hope your weekend doesn’t end with porn stars in the closet!

  24. What sweet Halloween treats! I hope your weekend is full of fun and festivity! Thank you for sharing, and I’m sorry if I’ve been a bit sparse here…we are going through such a trial. Thank you for all your kind words on my own blog!

  25. aw! how nice of your mom!

halloween isn’t really celebrated in Oz, so this weekend will be a bunch of the usual: seeing friends, running, housework, etc. can’t wait to see the pics of you girls in costume! :)

  26. I hope you have a GREAT weekend!!! And the next week will be a lot of random meals for me as well. Hopefully they turn out. When the toss together thing doesn’t work it usually ends up being cereal for me. LOL
